Embracing Nature's Imperfections and Qualities
As with all natural materials, the hardwood used in our speakers carries inherent characteristics that contribute to its unique charm. One of the most captivating aspects of real wood is its natural variation. Just as no two trees are exactly alike, the color and grain of the wood can subtly differ from piece to piece, and even from one batch to another. This means the speaker you receive may have slight variations in tone compared to images you've seen online, making your speaker truly one-of-a-kind. Furthermore, wood is a living material that responds to its environment. Changes in humidity can cause the wood to expand or contract slightly, a natural process known as "wood movement." While we use dried hardwoods and finish our woods to minimize this, slight shifts may occur over time. We account for this in our design but you may notice some wood movement from time to time. We recommend placing your speakers where humidity will be normalized. Don’t store them in damp or arid storage areas. Don’t setup speakers next to dry, heat sources like a wood burning stove.
